Client Brief: This beautiful townhouse in Knightsbridge had been renovated to breathe traditional life back into the property. Original features restored, and the use of luxurious interior finishes has given this unique property a new lease of life. The garden can be viewed from as many as 7 different vantage points and every aspect of the garden has individual features that work in harmony together with the interiors. KMGD created a sense of arrival to an area that is secluded, cocooned and intimate.  The courtyard is framed with delicate and elegant planting that brings a calming and verdant quality to it. The planting has been designed with textural leaf shapes adding a slightly exotic feel with bolder/edgier plant specimens. The spiral steps guide you to another level in this garden – the roof terrace. The roof terrace adds a glamorous theme to the garden with the intention of holding many a decadent party. The roof terrace is framed with planters with elegant brass metal detailing that link to the materials found in the interiors of the house. Within the planters are stunning architectural, bold leafed plants and large Heptacodium trees to create screening. The subtle lighting in both areas creates a relaxed, soft ambience for all to enjoy. A true wow factor garden in the centre of London.
