Garden design journey

The Journey
The Journey

If you were building a house or carrying out renovations, you would want to engage a professional architect. As an integral part of your home, your garden should be no different.  Some would say it is the most under-utilised space with so much potential!

A garden designer will consider composition, scale, planting, textures, tones, as well as the art of good design. Many of our clients come to us, knowing what they would like, or have a firm idea of the style they love, but don’t know how to implement this or how they can harmonise with their interiors or surrounding landscape.

A good Garden designer will be aware of current trends and regulatory requirements within the industry and will have the knowledge to specify the appropriate materials for your landscaping needs; presenting solutions to what you may consider problems.  It is important to understand that a garden design and build is a big investment into your property and may cost more than you might initially realise.  Average prices for a completed garden build range from £25K right up to and beyond £250k depending on a huge number of variables – area of land to be designed, level of detail, material specification and much more. It is our job to help guide you through this and make the best of the budget you have.

Thorough horticultural knowledge will ensure the selection of the right plants, trees and shrubs and access to the right contacts to help make the build cost-effective and ensure a professional finish is executed. An emphasis on aftercare and maintenance will ensure that your investment has longevity.

Engaging a garden designer will inject creativity that you didn’t think possible, ultimately resulting in full utilisation of your outdoor space whilst adding commercial value to your property.
