Japanese Picture Window, Sevenoaks

Return

The client commissioned the talented team at Tye Architects to design this exceptional and unique property in Sevenoaks and the vision was expertly brought to life by Klimstar.

Our design brief for the landscaping was unique and specific - “a Japanese picture window” was required…. Simple and calming.

It was key that the garden blended seamlessly with the architecture rather than draw attention away from it.

A simple planting palette was created to add verdant interest and texture.

Established Acers & birch trees were sourced to link to the proportions of the house and surrounding grounds, whilst also connecting to the borrowed landscape of dense established woodland.

Bespoke Torc Pots were used as sculptural focal points - one with a striking Acer and others with structural English Yew ‘buns’.

Carefully selected moss-covered boulders from Scotland placed around the scheme, blend within the property and the landscape like they’ve always been there.
