Rural Relaxation, Tonbridge

This project in rural Tonbridge, harmonised three distinct functional zones into one central heart of the garden.

The first zone finds you in a relaxed, sociable entertaining space, nestled underneath a generous bespoke outdoor structure. Home to the large WWOO kitchen and complimentary dining furniture, it provides a great space for the clients to entertain friends and family all year round in comfort and style.

Adjacent is a luxurious sunken hot tub accompanied by a WWOO outdoor shower. The entire area is cocooned by jungle planting providing a zen, relaxed space to enjoy.

The glasshouse supplied by Hartley Botanic has brought the family together to experiment and learn about horticulture.

A path leads you to an intimate seating zone where you can enjoy a morning coffee or de-compress from a busy day in the comfort of the seating, cocooned by exotic planting and a canopy of established wisteria.

The original Yorkstone paving was retained, but with a simple “switch up” to re-invigorate what was an overgrown and unloved area of the grounds. Various slabs were removed on the perimeter, to create more pockets of planting to allow for a more verdant vibe to the courtyard which can be appreciated from both inside and outside the property.

We were delighted that our clients commissioned our ‘Accessories and Styling’ service which enabled us to specify, procure and dress their garden with complimentary products, enhancing the vibe of the area.
